This Privacy Policy describes how MrWattson (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the website at mrwattson.dev and the MrWattson browser extension that saves captures to your account.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, our authentication provider receives standard OAuth data (for example your Google account identifier and email) so we can create and secure your MrWattson account.
- Captures. When you save a capture, we store the text you chose to capture, the page URL, and the page title. Captures are tied to your user account.
- Product usage needed to run the service. For example, we process captures to extract topics and to power Watson sessions, whiteboards, and related features you use inside the app.
Browser extension
The extension only sends a capture when you explicitly start one (toolbar, keyboard shortcut, or context menu). It does not continuously read your browsing history. It may store small extension-only settings in your browser (for example a timestamp used to avoid repeatedly opening sign-in). The extension sends captures to the same MrWattson web app over HTTPS.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve MrWattson.
- Authenticate you and protect accounts and the service.
- Process captures you submit, including automated topic extraction to organize your workspace.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to operate MrWattson. Depending on your usage, processing may involve:
- Supabase for authentication and database hosting.
- Google for Google sign-in (OAuth).
- Anthropic (Claude) when we run automated processing on capture text (such as topic extraction).
These providers process data under agreements appropriate to their role (for example as processors or sub-processors). We do not sell your personal information.
Retention
We keep account and capture data for as long as your account exists and as needed to provide the service. If you need deletion help, contact us using the details below.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise rights, contact us. You can also stop using the extension and sign out of the website at any time.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will adjust the “Last updated” date above when we do.
